1. Draft status and current position
This is a pre-launch review notice. Hōkime currently permits only storage required for the requested service, security, authentication, language preference, installed application operation and protected local workspace capabilities.
Non-essential analytics, advertising and marketing measurement are disabled and must not be loaded until a reviewed consent system, provider decision and retention schedule exist.
2. What cookies and device storage are
Cookies are small values stored by a website in your browser. Related technologies include local storage, IndexedDB, service-worker caches and native application storage. This notice covers both cookies and those related device-storage technologies.
3. Essential cookies and storage
Hōkime uses or plans to use the following strictly necessary or user-requested categories.
- Authentication and session cookies, using the Hōkime cookie namespace, to keep you signed in and protect account actions.
- The `hokime_locale` preference cookie to remember whether you selected English or Spanish.
- Security and request-integrity storage needed for authentication, rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- Installed web application caches required to install and load the application shell.
- IndexedDB or native secure storage for encrypted financial records, device enrolment and bounded offline entitlement information.
4. Optional technologies
Hōkime has not selected an analytics, advertising or behavioural-profiling provider. Optional measurement or marketing storage requires a named provider, documented purpose, data exclusions, retention period and prior consent where required.
Financial records, transaction descriptions, amounts, authentication secrets, recovery keys and vault material must not be sent to analytics providers.
5. Consent controls
If optional storage is introduced, Hōkime must offer equally prominent accept and reject choices, must not set non-essential storage before consent, and must provide a simple way to withdraw or change consent later.
Rejecting optional storage must not disable core paid functionality. Language or currency choices made directly by the user may be stored as requested technical preferences and must not be reused for unrelated profiling.
6. Managing storage
You can clear cookies and website storage through browser or operating-system controls. Removing authentication cookies signs you out. Clearing encrypted local storage may remove device-held financial data, so a current verified backup or supported transfer should be considered first.
7. Changes and contact
This notice will be updated before any optional provider is activated. Questions may be sent to hello@rogueterrapin.io.
