1. Draft status and operator

These are pre-launch review terms, version 2026-08-03-review.3. They are not effective and must not be used to open public registration or live billing.

The intended service provider is Rogue Terrapin, trading as Hōkime, self-employed business (autónomo), at C/Espinosa, San Luis De Sabinillas, 29692, Málaga, Spain. Contact: hello@rogueterrapin.io.

2. Eligibility and acceptance

You must be at least eighteen years old and legally able to enter a binding contract. After these terms become effective, creating an account or deliberately purchasing a subscription will indicate acceptance of the version shown before checkout.

Mandatory consumer rights in your country are not excluded or reduced by these terms.

3. What Hōkime provides

Hōkime is personal financial-planning software for recording information, forecasting cash flow, exploring scenarios and managing related account data. Forecasts, reference exchange rates and scenarios are estimates based on the information and assumptions available to the software.

Hōkime does not provide regulated financial, investment, tax, legal, credit or accounting advice. You remain responsible for checking figures and making financial decisions.

4. Accounts, devices and security

Hōkime currently uses supported third-party sign-in rather than a Hōkime password. You must protect your identity-provider account and authorised devices, use only your own account and notify Hōkime promptly of suspected compromise.

You are responsible for information you enter and for maintaining suitable encrypted exports, authorised devices and recovery material. Do not share workspace keys, recovery keys or session credentials.

5. Trial, subscription and payment

The proposed Personal plan is €7.99 per month, with a 30-day full-product trial that does not require a payment card. The trial does not automatically become a paid subscription.

A paid subscription begins only when you deliberately complete Stripe Checkout. The separate Billing, Cancellation and Refund Policy forms part of these terms and checkout must show the final price, taxes where applicable, renewal interval, cancellation route and statutory withdrawal information before payment.

6. Acceptable use

You may use Hōkime for your own lawful personal or household financial planning. You must not misuse the service or interfere with other users or systems.

• Do not access another person's account, data or device without authority.
• Do not upload unlawful, malicious or rights-infringing content.
• Do not bypass entitlement, security, rate-limit or access controls.
• Do not probe, scan, overload, reverse engineer or disrupt production except under the published security policy and applicable law.
• Do not resell, white-label or operate Hōkime as a service for others without written agreement.

7. Availability and changes

Hōkime may change, repair, suspend or retire features for security, reliability, legal or product reasons. Planned changes should preserve export and cancellation access where reasonably possible.

No uninterrupted or error-free service is promised. Any service-level commitment must be stated in a separate written agreement.

8. Your data, export, recovery and deletion

You retain all rights in the financial data you create. Financial workspace records are encrypted and stored on your authorised devices; Hōkime does not retain a readable server copy or a usable workspace decryption key.

Hōkime provides supported encrypted export, restore into an empty workspace, direct device transfer and current-device erasure. Restore does not merge with or silently replace an existing workspace. Hōkime cannot provide managed recovery if every authorised device, usable backup and recovery key is lost.

Deleting the Hōkime account is separate from local erasure. It cannot remotely wipe offline copies on other devices or exported backups. Permanent server-side deletion remains disabled until billing cancellation, session, device, entitlement and transfer revocation, and approved retention exceptions are implemented and reviewed.

9. Intellectual property

Hōkime software, branding, layouts, documentation and original media remain owned by their respective rights holders. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service while your entitlement is valid.

Third-party names, libraries and services remain subject to their own rights and licences.

10. Suspension and termination

Hōkime may restrict or suspend account-service access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law or address unpaid subscription status. Where feasible, notice and an opportunity to export data will be provided unless doing so would create risk or conflict with law.

You may cancel paid renewal and may separately request account deletion. Ending a subscription does not automatically erase the account or financial copies stored on customer-controlled devices.

11. Liability and consumer protections

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights. To the extent permitted by law, Hōkime is not responsible for decisions made solely from forecasts, third-party outages or inaccurate information supplied by the user.

The final liability wording requires independent legal review before these terms become effective.

12. Law, disputes and language

The intended governing law is Spanish law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of residence. Consumers may use the courts and complaint mechanisms available under applicable law.

English and Spanish versions will be published. The controlling language and conflict rule have not yet been approved and must be recorded before launch.
